In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Disclosed
According to the official announcement, "An unusual confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a hidden cult.
The mission centers on "peculiar tests and a fearsome adversary" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Transformations
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The teaser concludes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will obtain an unique katana alongside numerous items secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This release also introduces the game's third no-cost story episode, titled "The Mystery."
